The TAKG program is entering its 15th year. This is a grassroots initiative that encourages adults to take a kid to a participating institution's NCAA Football or men or women's basketball game and provides the youth of your local community the opportunity to be part of the thrills and excitement of the in-person college sports experience
The TAKG program offers institutions:
The chance to introduce area youth in your community with your athletic programs as well as the college or university
Opportunity to boost attendance at your games
The TAKG program will provide your institution with FREE:
Giveaway items for children that attend your games (basketball only)
Banners and posters to promote your game around your institution and community
Promotional materials and ideas to help make your event successful at takg.com
If your institution would like to participate in the TAKG program during the 2010-2011 season, please visit the link below to register and receive all materials needed to implement the program at your college or university at no cost to your institution. You can get started by selecting an official TAKG game date or TBA and offering free or discounted tickets to children fourteen and under when accompanied by a paying adult.
All games that you register for will be posted on the official takg.com website for parents and children to view games in their area
